THURSDAY 5TH OF MARCH 2020:

Have you read the “Alchemist”? Are you familiar with the “Secret” and the “law of attraction”?

“If you really want something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it”. This same thought can be read in both of those books. I have read the Alchemist for the first time over 10 years ago and re-read (audiobooked actually) it just now. Honestly, I did not remember that this thought was there. I knew it inspired me back when I was a teen, but now I did not necessarily remembered how. It’s funny, the way I feel like I went in a circle, because my current circumstances brought me back to this book. The Secret I first watched as a movie and it was probably few years after I have already read the Alchemist. For me it was a push I needed to leave everything and move abroad to peruse a dream I did not yet know I had.

So what are your legends? Have you achieved them already?

WEDNESDAY 11TH OF MARCH:

I feel like I am on a quest and bursting with a fresh new energy. I started retracing my steps which I took as a dreaming teenager and it brought me here. Now I feel like I am about to be submerged in a river which will take me somewhere. But in a way the destination is not that important, it’s the swim which counts. I wanted to write this post ever since I finished reading the Alchemist again, but couldn’t find the words. I had too many, like ingredients which are being put in a big pot without any idea what is going to come out of it.

I had a dream last night, which I’ve seen in my sleep before. I had people reach out to me, who I have not talked to in a while with the opportunities I forgot were once on my mind. It does seem that all I needed was to take a first step into the desert. I am excited to be here and I am excited to share. Happiness IS only real when shared, so please do share with me too. What path are you on? Where is it taking you?

FRIDAY 13TH OF MARCH:

I have just finished watching The Secret again. I have also re-read what I have written above. Thoughts do get so messy when I am passionate. I still am excited about the future and my journey, but with everything what is going on in the world these days I wanted to write an additional chapter here. Covid-19 is everywhere, there is no way avoiding it, regardless how often you wash your hands or how much toilet roll you managed to hoard. If it didn’t come to you yet – it will. Those are the things you cannot change, but what you can change is your attitude towards it. Panic is not the right attitude. We do not need to “fight” the virus, we have to support our health system, we have to support development of vaccines and affordable treatments, we have to support those who are at the higher risk for whom this virus can potentially be fatal. How do you do that, you ask? First and foremost, you have to look after your own health. You cannot help anybody else if you yourself are in trouble. You have to eat a proper nutritious food, drink water, exercise – it all results in improving your immune system. Which will help you. Take regular showers – it’s for your mental health benefit as well as the physical. If you are in self isolation or are forced to stay home due to schools and work places being closed, use this time to spend with your family. Stay connected. We are all in this together and we must support each other. That is what counts, that is what will bring progress to this outbreak. It is not a test to how well we can fight, it is a testament to how much we can rely on and support one another.

Also if you are staying at home I do recommend watching The Secret, it is on Netflix after all. Don’t be afraid – be motivated.

Cheers with a glass full of elephant on a quest to its personal legend.
